The Trends In The 3D Animation Industry

August 27th, 2011 No comments

So what are the latest trends and concepts that you need to keep pace with in 3D animation? One of the most exciting trends that you need to keep pace with is the concept of Phenadistoscope. This is not a very familiar term. What you need to know about this term without getting intimidated is that the term simply refers to what was simply a matter of drawings that were designed to move simultaneously.

What you also need to know is that the concept is still the same today just that new methods have been invented to reproduce the results in better ways. The methods have changed but the result is the same. You also need to know that the methods of Phenadistoscope have been obsolete since the beginning of the 21st century. These methods gave way to the new methods that have been designed to achieve the same result in radically different ways.

You are right to guess what this new method is- the computer. The computer has revolutionized a lot of ways in which things get done these days. The major developments that came with the computer entail that the drawings can now be scanned and transferred into computer or better still created on the computer. The computer has the capability of the rendering the images that represent movement at a very fast rate.

These images are generated from the concepts of 2D or 3D artwork. What happens after that is that the images will be then put in a particular order that the computer is then able to simulate what we can term as an illusion of movement. What has transformed the animation and graphic design landscape is the ability that has come with the computer to view the created objects or images from all angles. Modern applications are designed to generate typical drawings that that can even be styled as hand drawn images.

This is enabled by what is known as cel-shading. There are some advanced effects that you get with some of these applications and these can be used to achieve skin and facial expression effects and even ?cloth? effects. This normally goes with an effect called morph. What this means is that the images in the frames and the vertex will move to a different position. There are many techniques that are emerging and if you are keen to get hands-on with the developments you will do well to run researches and find out what is happening in the flourishing 3D animation industry.

Do you have your own company? Do you believe that you’ll have to publicize the products and / or services that your company offers? Then it’s time for your company to have its own web site.

If you made a decision that you need to have a site for your company, then what you’ll need next is to consider the way in which the internet site should look like. You need to visualize. Since you’re going to make a website for your company, then the website should contain much information about the company. You have got to let them know who your company is, what it does, what products and services you offer, and its terms and conditions. You also have to put your contact info so that internet surfers can get in touch with you if ever they are interested in your goods and services. When you have all of these required things, then you need to get a web site designer.

Web site designers are execs who make websites for people. Customarily, companies would hire them to make an internet site for their company. The web designers’ services are dear, so you better are prepared to pay them. When selecting a website designer, you have to know some certain standards. First, you need to see their portfolio. See if the web designer’s websites are a bit close to what you have imagined of your site.

Also, call the people who have hired that web site designer. Know their reactions to the internet site that the web designer made. If nearly everybody is satisfied, then that might mean that that website designer is good. Do not think that the one which charges the largest amount of money is the very best. Also, make sure to ask plenty of questions while the site is being designed. You must ask so as to know if the internet site that the web site designer is making is suited or is the closest to the one that you wanted.

Professional Website Design London Ontario

October 15th, 2010 No comments

Designing a website is important to all businesses that want to stay competitive. This is where so many people look for information and to find businesses, services and attractions. Whether trying to locate a hotel or library; a contractor or painter: consumers use the internet. If you want them to find yours and stick with it, choosing the right website design London Ontario is of primary concern.

Not just commercial groups but other organizations reach out to the web. These include non-profit groups, academic and library catalogues, city pages detailing facilities and public meetings. Think of your tone and purpose. Remember these when researching who could do the job best. Someone who has already taken clients like you before, they may be the right to meet your needs.

Beyond first impressions, take a closer look. Were the websites easy to use? All of us have found beautiful pages for everything from wineries to bookshops and tried to navigate, only to discover that it takes a degree in computer science. This could spell doom for the client.

Perhaps your existing site is like that. A previous designer did a decent job, creating something stunning to look at but impossible to use, or basic but within budget. Now you have a bit more money and computer savvy. Ask around and you will find specialists willing to improve the site. If you already have a logo they will work with that, since this is critical to recognition. If not, certain companies will help you to develop one.

How long a site takes to build depends on what you want. How many pages will you require? Do you wish to add on-line games or printable worksheets? Besides this, find out if you are dealing with one man working from home or a larger concern with several associates all spreading the workload. Some will work faster and cheaper; others may charge more but provide a personal touch.

Another question to ask is if you expect to attract a multi-lingual audience. You see on websites for international attractions such as museums, libraries and theme parks icons for language selection. In particular, if your audience will likely come from an area rich in a particular ethnic group, attract their attention by providing translation (thanks to your skilled designer) in French, Spanish, Polish: whatever wins clients.

He or she will factor such extras into the cost of work. Another deciding factor is number of pages. This is often broken down by under ten, fewer than twenty and more than thirty pages or some similar kind of break down. These include your Home page, About, Contact, Site map and other directions depending on purpose. Did you want to host child-friendly games as with an educational page, or print-off simple worksheets? These require varying degrees of complexity, time and cost different amounts too.

Ask also about site maintenance. If computers are not your thing, this could take a whole lot of weight off or your mind. You may have noticed that sometimes a web page you frequently access is down for maintenance: who does that? web development London Ontario designers know the discipline best and will charge a bit more to keep a site up and running or to host if for you if the service is offered.

A website design London Ontario that manages all aspects of the development and delivery of user-friendly websites.

3D Cartoon Animation – Bringing Evergreen Characters To Reel And Real Life

October 11th, 2010 No comments

3D Cartoon animation has come up as one of the most endorsed technologies in today’s computer age. This is a form of graphic imaging which has taken over 2D or scale model puppets as well as drawings which were commonly known as stop motion animation. Over the years, there has been an ever increasing demand for cartoon movies as well as the use of 3D cartoon animation in the media for endorsement of brand names which has initiated better and more sophisticated imaging software in the market.

Before the development of 3D cartoon imagery, animation was carried out through the process of the stop motion as well as frame by frame technique. This required illustrations and sketches of cartoon figures that were prepared by the animator and then morphed by the computer in sequences. On the other hand, 3D carton animation is a much superior form of digital imaging where the cartoons are modeled on the computer screen with the help of high-tech software. This new technology has thereby made the whole process of animation highly efficient.

One of the major benefits of using 3D cartoon animation techniques in place of stop motion animation is that the former simplifies the whole process as the computer generates images of superior quality which has in turn made cartoon characters in movies more lifelike than ever before. Also known as Computer Generated Imaging (CGI), this technique is used in creating motion films as well as commercials in which cartoon characters are given a 3 dimensional look along with a human voice as well as a very interesting story line.

With the emergence of 3D cartoon animation there has been a major shift in the viewer’s preferences as children and adults alike have been thrilled to see their favorite cartoon characters come vividly to life on the screen. Some of cartoon characters which have become highly popular amongst people of all ages have been featured in movies such as Finding Nemo, Ice Age, Shrek, Happy Feet and the Lion King. There has also been a surge of animated movies that have portrayed a photorealistic animation of humans and include pictures such as Antz, A Bugs Life and Ratatouille and the more recent releases like the Incredible, Monster?s Inc and the Simpson?s Movie.

While there are numerous robotic and fantasy characters that have become popular amongst today’s computer savvy age, nothing has been able to beat the popularity of some classic cartoon characters which have been portrayed beautifully through 3D cartoon animation technology in movies like Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, the Beauty and the Beast and many more.

So enjoy your 3D animated characters, movies and even commercials!

Web Design Made Easy

April 23rd, 2010 No comments

For many, web design is a challenging endeavor. If a company is well financed, it is likely they will just throw some money at the hottest design firm in town and get snowed and overpay due to their own lack of understanding of the process. But the vast majority of web design and web design needs stem from small business and personal web sites where money is absolutely of concern and for most the ability to produce a site on their own seems far from grasp.

But now with the help of programs such as Dreamweaver and iWeb, even a fairly technologically inept user can at least get “something” going web wise. But “something” is not enough for most of us, so how do we improve upon our existing sites when the knowledge base that created them was dealing in limited capacity from the outset? Why, 3rd party web vendors of course! And recently I discovered my new favorite for all things web design related.

A friend turned me on to GRSites.com a while back and I haven’t gone elsewhere for 3rd party design assistance since. The web design tools they have available are extensive and robust. From buttons, textured backgrounds and fonts to unique font logos, menus and text boxes, they have virtually every type of wing ding available for download and use on your own personal or small business site.

Their online portal is fantastic. If you want a button for your site but they don’t have exactly what you are looking for, you can simply create it using a very simple to understand GUI that will kick out both a graphical display for your download and the html code that would create in an html editor. Simply phenomenal.

But simple text boxes are just the beginning of the possibilities. They have portals for every type of web wing ding imaginable. Create your own logo with blur, glow or crumpled paper effects just to name a few. Or perhaps you need some unique buttons, no problem, their GUI is there and waiting for you.

It is rare I take the time to write about 3rd party vendors I use but as the market becomes more and more crowded with garbage I think it is important to bring quality sites to the forefront. I hope other web consultants can benefit from the knowledge of GRsites web design tools as much as I have. Check it out for your next project.

If you are bummed out and the budget has run dry but the site isn’t finished, check out GRSites !
